Jane’s Gourmet Deli & Catering offers a little bit of everything for true lovers of gourmet foods. Our restaurant offers a variety of delicious sandwiches, salads, soups, baked goods and much more. Our store is sure to peak your interest, with delicious handcrafted chocolates and our wine wall featuring boutique-style wines at a reasonable price. Our event catering services include everything from on-site catering for your event to box lunches ordered to-go for your office! History of Jane's Gourmet Deli
Jane’s Gourmet Deli opened its doors in 1993. Then, it was a small gourmet sandwich shop hoping to bring a little extra something to the Lafayette, Indiana area. Soon, our love for experimentation and delicious foods earned us local success and helped us grow our restaurant and catering services while opening up our gourmet store. In the last 22 years, Jane’s has continued to be passionate about bringing good taste and great gourmet goods to the greater Lafayette community.
About The Owner
Jane opened Jane’s Gourmet Deli and Catering in 1993 in Lafayette, Indiana. She was far from her Minnesota home and her alma mater in Boston, but her passion for delicious, locally-sourced food found a home right here in the Lafayette community. Jane had always loved cooking with friends, and Lafayette allowed her to put that love to good use, something she simply could not do in Boston. Over the last 22 years, thanks to incredible staff and wonderfully supportive clientele, Jane has expanded her restaurant 3 times, kept her catering business fantastically busy and added her shop of unique gourmet gifts. A locavore, Jane’s love of fresh food has allowed her to incorporate a variety of locally-sourced ingredients and foods into the Lafayette community!

Yum is right. It's an odd location, I have been to weddings and other events at this location and it always comes off. Jane and her staff do their best for this town that can barely support high quality places. I had Jane bake a birthday cake a month after 9/11 for my daughter's second birthday... It was a great cake, we needed something to smile about and Jane and everyone needed the work. Jane is a perfectionist and I appreciate her art. I wish I would stop in more often. I wish this establishment the best and it is worth it.
